Biomedical Image Technologies (BIT)

Information for Chinese students from China Scholarship Council

Biomedical Imaging Technologies (BIT-UPM) is a research group recognized by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which has been working on different fields related to biomedical images since 2000.

Its main objective is the application of technological solutions to actual clinical or biological problems, especially with the aim of early diagnosis. This has lead to research in developing new medical image acquisition and analysis techniques.

BIT-UPM has a long tradition of hosting foreign students coming from Europe, Asia and America. In particular, in the last three years, we have had 7 students from China. 

There are possibilities for doing a Master or a Ph.D. in the area of biomedical image processing and image acquisition technologies. Currently we are involved in Master and Ph.D. programs on Electronic Systems Engineering and on Biomedical Engineering, involved in our research activities, that can be seen here.
