Biography
Román Cárdenas Rodríguez is an Assistant Professor at UPM. In 2023 he earned a dual Ph.D. in Electronic Systems Engineering (UPM) and Electrical and Computer Engineering (Carleton University) under a cotutelle agreement, supported by FPU and mobility grants.
His interests include modeling- and simulation-based systems engineering applied to edge computing, IoT, and real-time systems; he participates in the RISC‑V team of the Rust Embedded working group.
