Master's Final Project
The TFM will consist of a project in the field of specific technologies in electronic systems engineering, of a professional nature, in which the skills acquired in the teachings are synthesized and integrated. Fields or areas specific to this degree, as far as it affects the topics and tutors of the TFM, are considered to be those related to electronic systems engineering.
The total load of work to be done by the student in their TFM is 15 ECTS.
The TFM completion process has different phases, described in this document, which are summarized in:
Summary of TFT development steps
- Enrollment in the registration period (July, September or February)
- Choice of topic and tutor
- Registration of the TFM for approval by the Academic Commission (twice a year, in October and March)
- Delivery of the memory
- Presentation before the court (3 times a year, in February, July and September)
The student registers for the TFM and delivers the final report through the ETSIT portal for TFM:
During the 2025-2026 academic year the deadlines for submitting the preliminary project are:
- Thursday October 30, 2025
- Tuesday March 17, 2026
The TFM registration remains valid for 2 years, and can be modified, to change the topic, title and/or tutor, through this instance. In the case of a change of topic, it is necessary to attach a document with a new preliminary draft.
During the 2025-2026 academic year, the deadlines to submit the final report are:
- Ordinary February call: Wednesday, February 4, 2026
- Ordinary July call: Friday, June 26, 2026 (notification on Friday, June 19, 2026)
- Extraordinary call for September: Monday, September 14, 2026 (notification on Wednesday, September 9)
It is necessary to be enrolled and have passed all the credits to be able to submit the report and present it to the court.
The report must have a specific format, as described on page 15 of the regulations, including the following points:
Final Degree Project Regulations (May 11, 2020)
- Cover official of the ETSIT with the title approved by the Academic Commission of the Master
- First page, with title, author, tutor(s), speaker (if any) and department of the tutor (or speaker)
- Second page with abstracts in Spanish and English (less than 500 words) and a list of keywords
- Index of the contents (with page numbers of the sections)
- Optionally, other indices of interest (figures, tables)
- It is recommended to include a Glossary with a list of the acronyms and abbreviations used in the text
- The body of the report, without page limitations, with an introduction (with clear objectives of the work) and conclusions. In addition, the report must leave evidence of the work performed and the results obtained.
- Bibliography, with a recognized style
In addition, it must include at least two annexes:
- A reflection on ethical, economic, social and environmental aspects.
