BIT - Tecnología de Imágenes Biomédicas
Presentation
Biomedical Imaging Technologies (BIT-UPM) is a research group recognized by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which has been working on the acquisition and analysis of biomedical images since 2000.
Since 2008, the group is also part of CIBER-BBN: the Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine. It is also associated to the Moncloa Campus of International Excellence.
Vision: Contribute to improve health care delivery through advances in biomedical imaging technologies.
Mission: The application of technological solutions to actual clinical or biological problems, especially with the aim of early diagnosis and treatment, including:
- Research on the development of new biomedical image acquisition, processing and analysis techniques.
- Teaching and training of doctorate, master and graduate students.
- Cooperation with hospitals and research centers that can use the techniques developed.
